Squash

Over the last couple of days we learnt how to play squash. Squash is a similar game to tennis but with a wall in front of you.The skills we learnt was how to hold the racket and how to serve the ball and also learnt how to hit it. Riccardo and Kirsten tough us the basics.

Day1: Skills
On Tuesday we learnt the basics on playing squash we learnt to bat the ball and also learnt the rules.
We also learnt to serve the ball because if you serve it under the service line then 1 point will be token off.

Day2:Practise
On Wednesday was the day we got to play with a buddy. Everyone was so excited and mostly forgot about the rules.But on the way we remembered them. It finally come down to the last 2 players for King Of The Court.

Day3:Compitition
On Thursday was the tournament day. Everyone was so excited. Everyone got there game faces on.We were so intent to play a game. We were splitted into 4 groups. The 1st group was for the pro's.But we got better and better. Then finally it came down to the last 2. Anamanu and her partner.They played and played and played until the ball come running across the line."Out" said the umpire. We all clapped for the winner.

Day4:Rally

This was the last day of our session we just couldn't wait to get our hands on the rackets.We were also sad because it was our last session.
Then it was time for the rally.We played a few games of squash then went on playing a game of relay to get the last few point but unfortunately we won because we had the most points of the day.
We cheered our loudest because of our happiness.

I had a great time learning how to play squash.I wish we get a great opportunity like this again.

Softball session 13/08

Today at our softball session we learnt heaps of new tricks,skills and played a really cool game.

We learnt skills on how to catch the ball and how to throw the ball in softball. Tama and I catched and threw the ball so fast and catches it so fast too. I ran to catch the ball most of the time

After, we played a game on who can throw the ball without dropping it, but moving back when you catch the ball. Tama and I didn't really make it but we were happy to see that Lisiate and his partner won the game.

Our softball session was fun.We learnt heaps and heaps of cool tricks. I also had fun playing the game.But unfortunately we lost but we tried our best.

I cant wait till the next session.

Softball Session 1

“Over here over here!” said June as my partner asked for the ball.

Today at Softball Practice there were professional instructors there.We learnt heaps about pitching the ball and the difference between cricket pitching and softball pitching.

I also learnt how to catch and throw the ball for a long distance.

I am really proud that I know how to pitch and catch the ball professionally and hope to learn more the next session.

Holiday With June

As I walk past the steaming hot spa room. As I went to the pools, a flash of humid air flashed in my face.Walking with my friend June to the huge cold swimming pool.

I stepped into the cold deep pool.Feeling the cold taking over my body with the water rushing through my skin.Then “splash” I hopped in with the water rushing past my body.

June and I played rugby in the water with our other friends. .We were anxious we were gonna win.I played and swam my hardest and finally “TRY, yay!”

“Lets go over there” “Yeah we should” said June. The pool was as cold as ice.We had fun with the objects in the water that we did'nt want to share it.We did the freestyle,backstroke,butterfly and heaps more.We had a lot of fun

After we went over to the bending machine our game we went to get something to eat from the bending machine.We went and nearly bought everything from the bending machine.We went to the table and ate our sweets like we were as hungry as a tiger.

We laughed throughout all the time we were in the swimming pool.June and I had a lot of fun at the pools and playing with our friends. I hope we could have a great day like this again.
