The Unexpected Sound

It was a dark cold night in the unwanted shed. As I went to feed my pet goat I heard some strange spooky sound trying to tell me something.I looked at the window and back at my goat.I looked at the window, just wanting to get close to it. I stopped and looked at my pet goat and went outside. As I went outside I looked back at the shed and then ran.

As I ran the sound came closer and closer.I ran so fast I tripped on a rock and slipped.I looked to the  front door with a glare. The sound was getting closer and closer and closer. Until it stopped. As the sound stopped the wind stopped too.

I ran to the front door and opened it with a shock. As I opened the door I was shaking as I looked at my brothers friends laughing at me.I asked why and they just laughed.Then they told me what happened.They just couldn't stop laughing.

But I was glad it wasn't a real ghost.

Today I read a wonderful poem about Lisiate's See-saw and this is my comment to him.

Maths Whizz (Division)

Today I learnt how to divide and how to solve problems.
I am so happy for reaching my goal and knowing I can do it.

Chocolate

Today I read a book about how chocolate were made.
I learnt facts about how they were form and when.
I learnt a fact that chocolate is made out of a cacao tree.

I am so rapturous for learning heaps about my learning.

Soccer Session 3rd.

Today we had a mini tournament using our soccer skills.We were splitted into 4 groups yellow,red and 2 blue team.My team were so eager to play our faces were as red as tomato.

We used all our skills to try and bet the other team.I kicked the ball with a steady rhythm.

“Today was a really fun game”says Katalena. We learnt heaps about

team work and how to kick the ball.We also learnt how to shot goals.We were as tired as a bear hibernating.

I can’t wait till the next session.

I want to Act (Sunshine Online)

Today I read a book about a girl named Angela performing to an audience.
From that speech she made she wanted to take it further so the world can see how good she is.

I am proud of myself for reading a level 30 book.
I hope I could read a level 31 soon.

Maths Perimeter

WALT find the Perimeter of 2D shapes

Formulae:

Perimeter of a Square = side + side + side + side or 4 x side

Example: The perimeter of a square of side  5cm = 5 + 5 + 5 + 5 = 20 cm or 4 x 5 = 20 cm

Find the perimeter of the following squares:

The perimeter of a square of side  10cm = 10x4=40  cm

The perimeter of a square of side  25cm =    25x4=100cm

The perimeter of a square of side  5m = 5x4=20m

The perimeter of a square of side  50m = 50x4=200m

The perimeter of a square of side  1km = 1x4=4km

Perimeter of a Rectangle = length + width + length + width or 2 x l + 2 x w

Example: The perimeter of a rectangle whose length is 6cm and width is 4cm = 6 + 4 + 6 + 4 = 20 cm or 2 x 6 + 2 x 4= 12 + 8 = 20 cm

Find the perimeter of the following rectangles whose lengths and widths are given below:

Rectangle 1 - length is 8cm and width is 5cm

Perimeter =  2(8cm) + 2(5cm)= 26cm

Rectangle 2 - length is 10cm and width is 7cm

Perimeter = 2(10cm) + 2(7cm)= 34cm

Rectangle 3 - length is 8m and width is 6m

Perimeter = 2(8m) + 2(6m)= 26m

Rectangle 4 - length is 16m and width is 10m

Perimeter = 2(16m) + 2(10m) = 52m

Rectangle 5 - length is 4km and width is 2km

Perimeter = 2(4km) + 2(2km)= 12km

Evaluation: Today I learnt to how to write the answer in a Stage 5 way.

I’ve also learnt what the purpose of the Perimeter’s are for and how important they are.

Soccer Session 2nd

Today at our soccer session we learnt how to dribble the ball and do scissors with our legs. Our coach told us about why we need to use these skills in soccer.We needed to learn these skills for soccer because we use it to attack the opponent.

I can’t wait till the next session so we could learn more skills.

Sat down on a see-saw

To see what I could see

As I looked across the handle

Today I read a book from Level 30
After that I did an activity about the story.
I got 85!% next time I would get 100%.

Soccer Day1

Today at school we learnt skills from a professional football player named Ben.

We warmed up with a game of Octopus and it made us really tired. As we played we learn about juggling with the ball on our feet.

At the end of the 2 lessons we had a game of soccer.

Having a chance to play a real game of soccer was fun.We learn heaps of things about it.

I learnt about what to do when stepping and how to improve your skills in soccer.
