Studyladder

On Studyladder I passed my World Series Numeracy.I played people from Australia which made me nervous if I would win or not.
 Working with Studyladder made me confident that I could achieve my goals moving little by little.

The Bigger The Object The Stronger It Is

We had to go Motat to learn more about Simple Machines.

When we entered Motat we were walking through the old looking stores.

My group went first to the Pump House and learnt about Why do we need to Pump large amounts of water around Auckland. My answer was NO WATER NO LIFE.Without water we could not survive.As we learnt about the Pumphouse we learnt that it was bullt in 1877.

The next place was the boiler room where we met Mike Austin.He told us the boiler was made in 1957 which was a long time ago.He also showed us about the coal that you put in the boiler to make the flames.

We also went to SIr Edmund Hillary’s Exhibition.We looked at his Tractor and why he had a huge chains on his wheels of his tractor.We also learnt when tracks were used which was in the 20th century, also known as Caterpillar Tracks or Contentious Tracks.

When we went to a  classroom we learnt that the bigger the object the stronger it is. The little the object the less strength it has.

I loved going to Motat because I learnt more about simple machines and mechanisms.All my questions about Simple Machines were answered and I also learnt about new stuff.

My Digital Footprint

In the past few days I have been working on my digital foot print. In 10 years I wish to be a professional SINGER.

Swimming

Arrr!! It’s cold, it’s very very cold.
As I hoped in the water, feeling so cold like I was frozen just like an ice block.

The room 10 student’s went to our Glenbrae pool.In the swimming pool we met some professional swim instructors at our school from our local pool.Our school was focusing on being safe in the water so we had to learn how to swim.Our time slot was in the morning so it was chilly.

First we hopped in the pool with our peers so we could be in our groups.I was chosen to be in group  2. As we got to our teams we  learned how to breath in the water and  raced doing freestyle,backstroke and other fun cool tricks.


I now know that swimming is really important for us.If we don’t know how to swim we could drown.Swimming felt awesome that day.

Water Fun Day 2013

Celebrating summer was awesome at school.

As the summer came we thought we can have some fun and have a Water Fun Day.
Everyone was so excited they slapped on there sunscreen slipped on their hat, and putted on their game faces.

As my team walked up to the court just screaming out “Everywhere we go” just singing our chant made us feel like champions winning the olympics.We walked past all the teams giving our game faces to them to make them think we are going to win the game.

My favourite game was the Zig Zag on the field with Mrs Pomee and Mrs Moopanar. Mrs Pomee was in our team the Green Team. She cheered for us through the whole entire day.She made us confident into winning and saying we will win.People laughed and cheered throughout the whole entire game.As we ran she told us to put water in our mouths and water in the cup.It was so fun.


As we went we rushed everywhere to make our team win and have fun.Everyone had so much fun and worked as a team that we were in the lead.As Mrs Moopanar called out which team who came 4th then 3rd then 2nd then 1st, as she called our name we jumped and ran and screamed our loudest.Just so happy we won.

I was so happy that we won the  Water Fun Day race.It was so fun because we all worked as a team and had fun working as a team. Working as a team is really important for us,that was how we won. Hope we get to do the water fun day again and beat the others again.
